ELDRIDGE PARK
Opportunities to be part of the story
Please visit our Gallery of Sponsors
WHEN YOU ARE DECIDING ON A NAMING RIGHT,
PLEASE THINK ABOUT THIS…
  1. The carousel and all improvements to the building and surrounding area belong to the Eldridge Park Carousel Preservation Society and therefore our community.
  2. This is truly a historic endeavor. Rarely has this region had an opportunity to bring back from the brink, a piece of history that engenders such cross cultural and intergenerational enthusiasm.
  3. This is an opportunity of a lifetime… to be able to memorialize a loved one, honor your corporation or family by becoming part of this beautiful story just makes sense…something that will last for countless generations.
  4. All naming rights and gifting levels can be donated over a period of years. For example, a group of 100 people at $50 per year for 3 years can sponsor an inner row animal; for 4 years, a middle row animal; and for 5 years, one of the few remaining outer row animals. Simple math also tells us that 5 people at $1,000 per year can sponsor an inner row animal in 3 years, a middle row animal in 4 years, and an outer row after 5 years. Similarly, 20 people pledging a $500 single gift can sponsor a chariot.
  5. A cast metal plaque will be mounted beneath every sponsored animal bearing the name of the animal, followed by the sponsor's name(s), corporate name or a catchy phrase. In addition, a photo of every sponsored animal and background information provided by the sponsor will permanently become part of our "Gallery of Sponsors" inside the carousel building.
  6. THIS PROJECT NEEDS YOUR HELP NOW! Give generously and often. We should not turn our backs on this and lose this historic gem as we did in 1989.

This page is where you can make it all happen. This is where you can become part of the story of returning Eldridge Park to our community.
$5,000
Penny Press
Mary Kuehlwind (formerly Mary Lyon) spent 3 months designing the artwork for this old fashioned addition to the Eldridge Park Carousel building. You simply place 2 quarters and a penny in the slots, select which of the 4 designs you wish crushed into your penny, turn the crank and wha-lah!!! The Penny Press is located between the gift shop and the Eatery with a change machine adjacent and is AVAILABLE for sponsorship.
$5,000
Shields
Local talent and artisans (including Pat Saxe, JoAnn Smith, Julie Thurber, Mary Kuehlewind, and Suzette Morgan) have recreated these magnificent handmade, handpainted works of art from photos of the originals. They are located on the upper rounding boards of the carousel above the animals. There are twenty in number and
16 are still AVAILABLE for sponsorship.
A photo of each sponsored shield along with written information desired by that
sponsor will be mounted in our
"Gallery of Sponsors".
$2,000

Memorial Benches
These gorgeous Victorian style benches are placed all around the inside walls of the building. They afford a relaxing spot for onlookers to sit, reflect and listen as the magnificent Eldridge herd whirls through space and time. A sponsor's naming plaque is affixed to each bench. Thirteen are sponsored. One bench is still AVAILABLE for sponsorship.

$1000

Picnic Table At The Park

Remember the good times we had picnicking at Eldridge Park? The EPCPS invites you to sponsor a
Picnic Table At The Park.
Beautifully crafted concrete picnic tables will be appearing in our new Eldridge Park Pavilions in the near future. You can help by sponsoring one or more of these tables with your own inscription that will appear in a decorative engraving on the table.
for more about sponsoring a Picnic Table At The Park.
$500-$750

Advertising Flags
These handmade flags will hang inside the building on poles mounted to the original flag holders located on the main vertical support columns. Approximately 2' x 3', these prominent "advertising masterpieces" are offered for $750 the first year and "$500 for each year following. Discounted rates for entities sponsoring more than one flag. CONTACT US to arrange to discuss your own custom design for your own Eldridge flags. Tens of thousands of park-goers will view these flags every year!!!

$50-$75

The "Stars" Project
This idea was the brainchild of Monte Trammer, publisher of the Star-Gazette. Two different size solid brass stars engraved with a sponsors' name will be affixed to the interior walls of the carousel building for all to view. The 5" star can be reserved for $50 and the 7" star for $75. This wonderful naming right can be a memorial for any loved one, for a business or family member or a beloved pet. AVAILABLE for sponsorship.
